l.   You volunteer to be a Democratic Neighborhood President or Block Captain who will personally contact Democrats in your neighborhood. Neighborhood Presidents are responsible for 500-700 Democratic homes.   Block Captains are responsible for at least 20 Democratic homes. Neighborhood Presidents will recruit Block Captains in their area.   Studies show that face-to-face contact is the best way to GOTV (Get Out the Vote)

2.   Each new Neighborhood President or Block Captain will receive a packet that includes:
* a customized cover letter that identifies problems in your area that will be helped by electing Democrats.
* walking literature on Democratic candidates and issues.
* a map detailing your area and its location within the 38th A.D.
* a walking list of your area.
* a sample walking script (training provided upon request).
* voter registration forms.
* absentee ballot request forms in English and Spanish.
